The 2023 season has been one to forget thus far for the Chicago White Sox, as they are off to a horrendous 35-47 start.
However, the same cannot be said for slugger and outfielder Luis Robert Jr., who is swinging a hot bat as of late.
On Wednesday night, he got the White Sox started off against the Los Angeles Angels, hitting a two-run home run in the top of the first inning against Halos right-hander Jaime Barria.
That gave the White Sox an early 2-0 lead.
In fact, it was Robert’s fifth home run in as many games.
On Twitter, MLB posted a video of the moment Robert sent one out to deep center field for a blast.
Talk about hot.

Robert has been swinging a hot bat as of late.
Despite the fact that the 2023 season has been a forgettable one for the White Sox, Robert is on a roll.
His first-inning home run was his 23rd of the season.
The young outfielder and slugger also has a batting average of .270, has driven in 45 runs, owns an on-base percentage of .324, is slugging .567, and has an OPS of .891.
Injuries have derailed him at various points in his career.
However, the 2023 season has been a solid one for the 25-year-old.
His heroics on Wednesday helped the White Sox come to within 5.5 games of first place in the American League Central division, despite their record.
The White Sox won their game by a final score of 11-5.
Robert made his Major League debut back in 2020 and has finally emerged as one of Chicago’s key contributors.
