On Tuesday, the crosstown rivalry between the Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox was renewed at Wrigley Field.
The White Sox won this round, defeating the Cubs by a final score of 5-3 in the series opener.
Luis Robert Jr. had himself a solid game.
The slugger and outfielder had two hits, one of which was a home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the South Siders on top, 4-3.
On his way back to the dugout, he ran into a minor heckling problem.
There was a Cubs fan sitting on the first base side of the field who flipped Robert the middle finger.
However, Robert put him in his place relatively quickly, as he put his finger to his lips in a shushing motion to silence the fan.

This is certainly one way to silence a heckler.
Sometimes, fans get caught up in the action of a rivalry.
Fortunately, Robert didn’t seem to mind, and he had the perfect response to the fan flipping him the bird.
Robert knew that the fan was upset because he had hit a home run against his favorite team.
Instead of getting angry though, Robert didn’t let it get to him and basked in the glory of being hated by an opposing fanbase.
And so, the Cubs fan who flipped the bird was ultimately silenced and put right back in his place by Robert.
And Robert ultimately had the last laugh, as the White Sox won the series opener against their crosstown rivals.
