Quarterback Dak Prescott is entering the final year of his current deal with the Dallas Cowboys.
The three-time Pro-Bowler is looking for a major extension that keeps him in Dallas for even longer.
Now, the current debate on sports shows such as Get Up surrounds the idea of Prescott being worth more than $50 or $60 million.
Former NFL player and current ESPN analyst Louis Riddick believes Prescott is worth $65 million per year.
“This is the market right now…What is your next best alternative if you’re the Dallas Cowboys…Dak is going to get his. It will be north of 60 (million),” Riddick recently said on Get Up.

Riddick makes a great point about the Cowboys not having another solid alternative if they were to not pay Prescott.
As talented of a prospect as Trey Lance was and possibly still is, he is not ready to take over the starting role.
If they were to go the route of trying to find a future rookie to come in and start, it isn’t as if rookie quarterbacks grow on trees in the NFL.
Nothing is ever a given in the NFL, which is why the Cowboys might want to consider paying Prescott what he wants.
It also isn’t like he is a mediocre player coming off a bad season.
He led the NFL in touchdown passes (36) and guided the Cowboys to another 12-win season.
Before he gets some of the blame for the shocking playoff loss to the Green Bay Packers in the first round last January, he and the offense did put up 32 points.
He gets a bad rap for not always having a complete team around him, which is part of the reason why the Cowboys certainly can’t afford to lose him too.
