The Carolina Panthers have been one of the most dysfunctional franchises in the NFL over the past few years. From ownership down to the coaching staff, many questionable decisions have been made, and things seem to be heading in the wrong direction for David Tepper’s franchise.
Last year, the Panthers thought they had brought in the new face of the franchise in the post-Cam Newton and Christian McCaffrey era, as they used the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft on Heisman Trophy winner and Alabama star quarterback Bryce Young.
There was much debate heading into last year’s draft about which quarterback should be the top pick, with CJ Stroud and Anthony Richardson making a case to go No. 1, but the Panthers chose to go with Young.
Now, Young is stuck in a difficult situation with the Panthers, which could ultimately result in him being traded elsewhere in the near future, as it seems the team doesn’t have much faith in him reaching his potential.
ESPN’s Louis Riddick took to his X account, lobbying for Young to be traded because he’s seemingly going nowhere with the Panthers.
Someone get Bryce Young away from Carolina.

After getting benched in favor of veteran journeyman Andy Dalton in Week 3, the Panthers got a throwback performance from the 36-year-old quarterback, resulting in an impressive performance, blowing out Maxx Crosby and company in their home opener at Allegiant Stadium.
Since then, the Panthers have dropped two games in a row, with the latest being a tough loss to the Chicago Bears, where Young was able to get back on the field but threw only seven passes in the loss.
It seems like Young could use a change of scenery and is probably open to that prospect, but it remains to be seen if the Panthers try to trade him this season or during the NFL offseason.
