When Lonzo Ball first came to the Chicago Bulls, it seemed like he could be the missing piece the team needed and perhaps the future of the franchise.
Sadly, a very serious injury has prevented Ball from playing like he wanted to and he feels deep remorse for that.
Speaking to Trae Young on the “From The Point” podcast, via Daniel Greenberg, Ball opened up about how the injury has caused him serious regret.
He said that the team’s lineup was built around him and was the perfect team for him in many ways.
He then added, “I feel like we really had a chance and never got to see what it was.”

This is a very frank, painful admission from Ball, who will miss next season due to the same knee injury that has plagued him for more than a year now.
Ball is right: the team felt like a wonderful fit for him and they were showing a lot of promise.
But his knee mishap took him out and multiple surgeries and doctors haven’t been able to fix it.
Now he is about to miss his second season and there is currently no end in sight for his absence.
Ball said that the team never got a chance to see what they could be and all they could achieve.
Is there any chance of things coming together and this team actually working out as people had hoped?
That depends on what the Bulls look like when Ball does return.
Will Chicago’s front office deal away some of the star players currently on the roster or will they keep the lineup intact as they await Ball?
What kind of team will Ball return to if he finally suits up again?
