Before head coach Dan Campbell came to town, the Detroit Lions weren’t having a lot of success, and there was no telling when this struggling franchise would be able to turn things around and become a force to be reckoned with in the NFC.
Fortunately for Detroit, Campbell being the new leader on the sideline is exactly what this team needed, as he has turned this team into a heavyweight and an offensive juggernaut in the NFC, winning 10 of 11 games played so far in the 2024 NFL season.
The Lions made a statement last year by making it to the NFC Championship Game and coming one half away from reaching the Super Bowl, but they fell short against the San Francisco 49ers.
This year, Detroit looks like the team of destiny in the NFC, as they can’t be stopped offensively, with Jared Goff leading the way under center and Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery coming out of the backfield as the best running back duo in the league.
As a result of the Lions’ win over the Colts on Sunday, Detroit has now recorded double-digit wins in consecutive seasons for the first time in nearly a century, according to Albert Breer of The MMQB.
The Lions have hit double-digit wins in consecutive seasons for the first time in the 95-year history of the franchise. And they got there with six games to go, after winning 12 games last year.

With six games left to be played in the regular season, the Lions have a chance to make it 16 wins on the year potentially, but they’ll face some tough opponents ahead.
In their final stretch, Detroit will face the Chicago Bears (twice), Green Bay Packers, Buffalo Bills, San Francisco 49ers and Minnesota Vikings.
