After their victory over the Kansas City Chiefs, the Detroit Lions proved they aren’t the same old team.
They stuck with the Chiefs throughout the game, which ultimately resulted in their narrow victory.
After the game, several Lions players showed their excitement, including C.J. Gardner-Johnson.
In a video shared via Eric Woodyard, Gardner-Johnson said “This team is full of winners.”

The Lions haven’t exactly been one of the NFL’s best teams lately.
They have appeared in the playoffs twice in the last ten years, posting winning records in just four seasons.
Despite recent woes, many analysts have projected the Lions to win the NFC North, which would mark the first time they’ve accomplished this feat.
The Lions did win the NFC Central three times, the name of the NFC North before a re-alignment happened.
A turnaround of this magnitude is rare in the NFL, especially given the strength of their NFC North counterparts.
While the NFL season is long, and one game isn’t an indication of how the rest of the season will go, the Lions appear confident they’ll be able to keep this dominance moving.
Dan Campbell has curated a culture of belief and understanding, resulting in this organizational turnaround.
In his first year as head coach, the Lions turned in a 3-13-1 record, which jumped to 9-8 in year two.
If the Lions continue an upward trajectory with Campbell as their leader, their ceiling appears limitless this season.
