The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are keeping their offensive coordinator.
Liam Coen, who was in the running to be the next head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars, has decided to stay with the Bucs as he is now one of the league’s highest-paid coordinators (via ESPN insider Adam Schefter).
Coen, Pro Bowl quarterback Baker Mayfield, and Co. have some unfinished business after an early-round playoff loss to the Washington Commanders sent them home a few weeks ago.

In his first season back in the NFL after another stint at the University of Kentucky, Coen helped turn the Bucs into a top-five offensive unit.
They finished the regular season ranked third in total offense, third in passing offense, fourth in rushing offense, and fourth in scoring offense.
Mayfield set career-highs in completions (407), completion percentage (71.4%), passing yards (4,500), touchdown passes (41), and passer rating (106.8).
Future Hall of Fame wide receiver Mike Evans once again recorded 1,000+ yards receiving for the 11th-consecutive season, tied with Jerry Rice for the most ever to start a career.
Coen was a perfect match for head coach Todd Bowles, who is one of the league’s better defensive minds.
Together, the two could help make the future even brighter down in Tampa Bay.
On the other hand, the Jacksonville Jaguars now have to continue their search for their next head coach.
Robert Saleh, Brian Flores, Pete Carroll, and others are still on the market, but names are flying off the board, with Ben Johnson and Mike Vrabel already securing jobs and Coen deciding to stay put.
