The Kansas City Chiefs are fresh off a Super Bowl victory.
While they have basked in the glory and excitement of winning the Lombardi trophy, their focus has shifted to the 2023 season.
Many analysts believe they have what it takes to reach the mountaintop again this season given Patrick Mahomes’ dominance.
However, in a recent segment of ‘Speak’ on FS1, LeSean McCoy issues a cautionary statement to this claim.
“It’s been difficult for teams to go back-to-back,” McCoy said.

The NFL has more parity than ever before, and the Chiefs will fight an uphill battle.
As McCoy mentions, the AFC is a difficult conference, filled with young, elite quarterbacks and skill-position players.
While McCoy is worried about the AFC, his main concern is in the NFC.
McCoy identified the Philadelphia Eagles as the number one team to stop the Chiefs.
The two teams met in this year’s Super Bowl, which provided one of the most entertaining contests in recent memory.
Many around league circles believe the Eagles have a top-five roster in the league.
There is also a narrative around the NFC that it’s a significantly easier conference than the AFC.
If the Eagles can stay healthy, their journey back to the Super Bowl could be a relatively easy road.
McCoy seems to already predict an Eagles-Chiefs rematch in the Super Bowl.
The two teams are slated to face off during the regular season, a rematch of last year’s title game.
Can both teams reach similar heights they found during the 2022 season?
