Last season, no one saw the Philadelphia Eagles coming as a legitimate Super Bowl title contender in the NFC, as the storied franchise looked like a talented team coming into the season but not one that would surprise anyone.
A year later, that was far from the case, mainly due to the emergence of star quarterback Jalen Hurts as one of the best players at his position in the NFL.
Hurts proved very early during the 2022 campaign that he was a born leader and ready to put the team on his back and lead them to the NFL playoffs.
Although many kept waiting for Hurts to regress and start to show how young and inexperienced he was, it simply never happened as he continued to dominate from week to week until the Super Bowl.
Even though the Eagles ultimately fell to the Kansas City Chiefs, Philadelphia proved that this team is here to stay as a contender and could be even better in 2023, with former Eagles star LeSean McCoy believing no team in the NFC can contend with them via Speak On FS1.

Of course, not a single snap has been taken in the 2023 NFL season, and anything can happen in this league, meaning the Eagles could struggle, and other teams could have the same kind of emergence this year in the NFC.
However, the one team that will likely be the Eagles’ toughest competition is in their division in the Dallas Cowboys, as Micah Parsons and company appear to have it all put together ahead of the season.
The battles between the Eagles and Cowboys will be something to watch this season, as it could determine which team is coming out of the NFC.NEXT: Eagles WR Keeps Voicing Frustration Over Super Bowl Holding Controversy
