The Los Angeles Lakers could’ve been a top-5 seed in the Western Conference by now.
They’ve been on the wrong end of several bad calls and haven’t been able to beat some lesser teams despite having a better roster.
That’s why LeBron James knows he cannot rest on his laurels and needs to be available for the remainder of the season.
As bad as they’ve fared for most of the year, they’re just 2.5 games behind in the race for a spot in the play-in tournament.
With that in mind, James vowed to do whatever he could to be available night in and night out, going as far as to state that the remaining 23 games are the most important regular-season games of his career.

James is one of the most successful players in NBA history, but not making the playoffs in back-to-back seasons will fuel the never-ending GOAT debate once again.
Of course, it’s not like he’s got anything left to prove at this point in his career, but he knows the clock is ticking on him, and this might as well be his last chance to win another NBA championship.
James has been nothing short of spectacular for the Lakers this season.
He’s carried the load amid Anthony Davis’ never-ending absences, and he’s fully confident in his new-look roster’s ability to go the distance.
They still have a long road ahead of them, but they have enough firepower to pull up several upsets in seven-game series, so don’t count them out already.
