Because of the lacking record of the Los Angeles Lakers and the superior skill of LeBron James, there have been numerous rumors about the King possibly leaving LA.
He is now 38 years old, which means even if he remains as competitive as he is now, he doesn’t have that many years left in the league.
Does he really want to spend them with a team that is having a hard time even reaching the play-in games?

According to an NBA executive, James might really leave in the upcoming offseason and he might just be traveling a few hundred miles north.
Yahoo Sports quotes this unnamed executive who says that James could end up being traded to the Golden State Warriors in the summer.
This would be a wildly shocking move from James, the Lakers, and the Warriors but when you look at this trade on paper, it is possible.
That is because the Warriors are one of the few teams that have a few trade assets they could send down to the Lakers.
If this package were to ever formalize, you could kiss Klay Thompson, Jordan Poole, Draymond Green, and possibly other guys goodbye.
At least one or two of them would be sent to the Lakers, as well as draft picks and pretty much anything else the Warriors could package into a deal.
But why would the Warriors agree to this?
Even though James is still a top-ten player, he is reaching the end of his career and any deal for him would hobble the Warriors for the future because they would trade away so much to get him.
Plus, they just won their latest championship so would they ever take a risk like this?
