LeBron James has remained the face of the league for the better part of his NBA career.
Although James has done an incredible job in this role, the Los Angeles Lakers superstar has started to hint about his retirement.
Keeping that in mind, the NBA is in search of the next generational superstar who could maintain the fans’ interest in the league.
One name that comes to mind is none other than the number one overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, Victor Wembanyama.
Even before entering the league, Wembanyama drew comparisons with LeBron James as arguably the greatest draft prospect in the history of the NBA.
Speaking of the two superstars, they faced off during the Los Angeles Lakers vs. San Antonio Spurs game.
Following a 123-118 win over the Spurs, James shared his views on Wembanyama via Rachel Nichols on Twitter.
“He doesn’t have a ceiling, he can do whatever he wants in his career,” James said.
LeBron on Wemby: "He doesn't have a ceiling, he can do whatever he wants in his career…you got guys in our league that you have to account for anytime you get around the rim, or around the perimeter in our league history, and he sits right at the top, if not around the top,… pic.twitter.com/cJXo89n278

Despite playing just two games against Wembanyama, James already has a high opinion of the Spurs rookie.
The 39-year-old believes Wembanyama simply has no ceiling and can achieve anything during his NBA career.
James also pointed out that Wembanyama forces opponents to be wary of him all around the floor rather than a single aspect.
Speaking of Wembanyama’s performance, he had 27 points, 10 rebounds, and 8 assists against the Lakers.
Unfortunately, Wembanyama’s performance didn’t result in a win for the Spurs.
On the other hand, LeBron James contributed 30 points, 7 rebounds, and 9 assists in the win as the Lakers improved their record to 31-27 for the season while remaining the ninth seed in the Western Conference.
