The Los Angeles Lakers are currently without a head coach.
They fired Frank Vogel on Monday morning after a truly abysmal and wildly disappointing season that saw the team not even make the playoffs despite having LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Russell Westbrook, and more on their side.
Naturally, the team is looking ahead at someone to fill the void left by Vogel.
Some of the names being tossed around include Doc Rivers of the Philadelphia 76ers, Quin Snyder of the Utah Jazz, Nick Nurse of the Toronto Raptors, and more.
And now another name has entered the rumor mill.

The latest report from Sam Amick says that James would be “very enthused” about the prospect of Mark Jackson leading the team.
If you watch a lot of primetime basketball, you’re very aware of Jackson and his knowledge of the game.
But is he ready for a job like this again?
Mark Marches Back
The last time Jackson coached an NBA team was back in 2013-14 when he led the pre-championship Golden State Warriors.
Jackson was in charge of that team for three seasons and has a record of 121-109.
He played a big part in the team’s restructuring and changes.
The team was right around the corner from being the phenomenal runaway success they became and Jackson had a hand in that.
That was his only NBA coaching job.
Before that, he played all over the league, from the New York Knicks to the Indiana Pacers to the Houston Rockets, and more.
One wonders what has James so jazzed about Jackson – what makes him believe that Jackson has what it takes to get the team back on track?
Whoever eventually gets the job will have their work cut out for them because there are many significant changes that need to happen to right the wrongs and fix the Lakers.
