Austin Reaves had a stellar performance against Team Italy in the FIBA Basketball World Cup on Tuesday and his Los Angeles Lakers teammate was supporting him from afar.
LeBron James hopped on social media to celebrate Reaves, according to LakeShowYo on Twitter.
James posted a video of Reaves dunking over an Italian opponent with the caption “H.I.M.”

This isn’t the first time that James and the rest of the Lakers have rooted for Reaves.
In fact, just a few weeks ago, head coach Darvin Ham predicted that Reaves would be an All-Star within a few years.
But it’s not just the players and coaches who are all-in on Reaves.
Fans of the Lakers have fallen in love with the guard from Arkansas since he joined the team two seasons ago.
Because of all this, he has earned more time on the court during games and has gained a bigger role within the team.
That was very evident during the playoffs, when he started in all 16 games and averaged 16.9 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 4.6 assists per game.
That was the start of a very busy and productive summer for Reaves.
Not only has he participated in the World Cup but he also secured a hefty new contract with the Lakers too.
That means he will be back for the next few years, and his position within the team could grow even more.
Reaves started in 22 of his 64 games last season.
Will that number grow in 2023-24 and beyond?
It’s very possible, especially when you consider how much James, Ham, and the entire Lakers fanbase love the young star.
