After the Game 6 victory over the Miami Heat on Sunday night, LeBron has made some headlines.
Obvious ones such as LeBron James becomes first player to win three different championships with three different teams.
Or, LeBron James becomes first player to win three NBA Finals MVP’s with three different teams.
LeBron has also been trolled on social media by the “haters”, been at the heart of the GOAT debate, and has done some gloating himself.
But, yesterday, LeBron James paid respect to who the Lakers dedicated their season too in January: Kobe Bryant
LeBron James Pays Tribute To Kobe Bryant
After the tragic passing of Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gigi, and the seven others who were on that helicopter, the world was heart broken.
The NBA world was shocked and the Los Angeles Lakers couldn’t come to grips with what had just happened.
But, Lakers players realized that the Black Mamba wouldn’t want them to sit around and be in pain.
He would want them to relentlessly work until they won the NBA Championship.
LeBron James took to Instagram yesterday, honoring Kobe Bryant.

“Hope (I) made you proud my brother!! Love and miss you champ!!” is what the caption read for a picture of LeBron James sitting down with a Kobe Bryant jersey hanging off his leg.
LeBron James channeled his inner Mamba as he dominated in Game 6, closing out the Miami Heat.
Lakers Dedicate Season To Kobe Bryant After Tragic Passing
The NBA world had a hard time coping with the tragic passing of Kobe and his daughter, Gigi.
On the day he passed, the games that were played payed respect to the legend by taking a shot clock violation and side out of bounds violation, signifying the numbers 24 and 8.
For the Lakers, they had to postpone their game against the Clippers because the team was too heartbroken.
When the Lakers returned to the Staples Center on January 27th, LeBron James gave a heartfelt speech prior to tip off.

“I promise you I’ll continue your legacy man!” LeBron stated in his speech.
The Lakers added extra motivation to their season as they were playing for something bigger than just basketball.

They launched the Black Mamba jerseys that Kobe helped create.
They painted the initials, “KB”, on the court along with the number 24.
All in all, championship or no championship, the Lakers planned on living out of the legacy of Kobe Bryant.
I am sure he and his beautiful daughter are smiling from the heavens, proud of the effort and fight shown from the Los Angeles Lakers.
There was no better way than to cap off this heartfelt season than with the Lakers hoisting the trophy for Kobe.
