Darvin Ham, LeBron James, and the Los Angeles Lakers deserve a lot of credit for managing to keep the team afloat without Anthony Davis.
The often-hurt star missed half of the season to date with a foot injury, which obviously took a huge toll on their ability to compete at the highest level.
There’s no denying that Davis’ impact as a rim protector does wonders for the team’s defense, and he’s been arguably the biggest factor since his arrival to the team.
That’s why LeBron gave him his flowers and offered some huge praise for the power forward, stating that he’s the Defensive Player of the Year and his sole presence inside the restricted area changes everything for them:
“He’s a Defensive Player of the Year player every night. Our confidence is extremely high when we know we have AD on the back line,” James said, per Lakers Daily.

Davis’ impact has never been doubted or put into question.
When healthy, he’s one of the best two-way players in the league, and it’s not even close.
The only issue with him if that he’s never healthy and has proven to be unreliable in the final stretch of the season because of his never-ending injury woes.
The Lakers are still in the mix to clinch a playoff spot, and while they haven’t been consistent, you always have to love their chances when LeBron James and Anthony Davis are on the floor together.
So, hopefully, the former New Orleans Pelicans star will manage to avoid further injury and keeps this outstanding level of play, as they cannot afford to have him in street clothes in the most crucial stretch of the season.
