The Los Angeles Lakers need all the help they can get right now.
They got off to a solid start to the season but fell back to Earth shortly after.
J.J. Redick had some rather interesting things to say about D’Angelo Russell and his level of compete – or lack thereof – and it seemed like the honeymoon could be over in California.
With that in mind, LeBron James has taken a more aggressive approach lately.
The soon-to-be 40-year-old forward has logged triple-doubles in consecutive games and keeps making history with every performance.
As ESPN’s Dave McMenamin pointed out, he just became the oldest player in NBA history to record back-to-back triple-doubles.
However, when asked how much he had left in the tank, the four-time NBA champion admitted again that this won’t go on for much longer:
“I won’t do it until the wheels fall off, I’ll tell you that,” he said.

James teased at retirement after being swept by the Denver Nuggets a couple of years ago.
He announced that he wasn’t going away shortly after, but he still made it loud and clear that he was heading towards the sunset of his career.
It’s crazy to see that James, albeit no longer a 27-point-per-game scorer, is still relevant and one of the best players in the game.
Even though his career is nearing its end, he has nothing else to prove.
