The Los Angeles Lakers wasted no time in getting multiple deals done in the first couple of hours of free agency.
GM Rob Pelinka had already hinted at the team’s desire to keep their core together, and that’s exactly what they did.
And it seems like their superstar and best player approves and is already looking forward to next season, as LeBron James shared a pic of all the Lakers’ moves on his Instagram story, adding a sand clock emoji.
Notably, this all but confirms what everybody already knew: LeBron isn’t retiring just yet.
The 38-year-old forward hinted at the possibility of walking away from the game after the Denver Nuggets swept them, but most analysts believe he was just trying to change the narrative and drive attention away from the fact that they failed to win a single game in the Western Conference Finals.

He’s still under contract for one more year, and he’s made it clear that he wants to play with his eldest son Bronny, who’ll be eligible for the 2024 NBA Draft.
As for the Lakers, they didn’t make any big splash or league-shattering move.
They just replaced Dennis Schroder with Gabe Vincent and added Taurean Prince for more size and another 3-and-D forward.
They were an elite defensive team since the second half of the season and shot very well from three in the playoffs.
Now, they got their supporting cast locked in for years to come, and it’ll be interesting to see if they can pick up things where they left them.
