LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers is opening up about his time left in the league, and he’s being honest: he knows the end is coming.
Like all Lakers fans, retirement has been on James’ mind, and he recently spoke about it.
“Retirement is coming. It is coming. It’s just not here just yet,” James said.

Lakers fans are breathing a sigh of relief, but also growing increasingly nervous.
James said that retirement isn’t here “just yet” but revealed that it certainly is on its way.
Does that mean he is about to play his last season, or does he have two or three more left in him?
At this point, no one is quite sure what’s next for the future Hall of Famer.
If he suddenly announced that the upcoming season was his last, that wouldn’t be a shock.
But if he also said that he was going to try to play until he was 45, that also wouldn’t surprise people because James is still putting up great numbers at 40 years old.
The Lakers are starting to think about a post-James future as well, and they are obviously going to focus on Luka Doncic and building the team around him.
However, that doesn’t mean that James is going away.
And until his very last game, he is going to put 100 percent of himself into each match, and is going to try to push himself and his team like he always has.
He knows the end is coming, even if an exact date isn’t on the calendar.
But James is going to remain a natural and fierce competitor for every possession until then.
