The NBA world was abuzz this weekend when it seemed like LeBron James made statements about what the Los Angeles Lakers should do to their roster.
The Lakers have gotten much better this season but they are still not a top team in the West, despite the powerhouse efforts from James, who just turned 38 years old.
Speaking to Sam Amick of the Athletic, James said, “Y’all know what the f— should be happening” when speaking about the team possibly making trades.
“I don’t need to talk,” James added.
Well, apparently he does need to talk.

Following Amick’s publishing of those statements, James hopped on Twitter to clear things up.
From James’ Twitter:
“Hey Sam actually my patience isn’t waning. You make it sound like I’m frustrated when I’m really not. I told you over and over, my job is focused on the guys in the lock room, my job isn’t the roster.”
He added:
“That’s the reality of the that conversation. And I said what I said with the utmost respect and calmness cause that’s the mood I’m in! Your welcome! 5 game winning streak.”
So, according to James, he’s not upset about the status of the team and he’s not trying to get the front office to make some big moves to improve things.
But is that really true or is this just James just trying to make nice and backtrack a bit?
James is such a competitor that there’s no way he’s happy with the team’s 19-21 record.
If he wanted to put pressure on the Lakers, he could and they would likely follow his lead and listen to him because he’s such an important part of the team.
James said he’s not attempting to influence the front office but perhaps he already has.
