The Los Angeles Lakers were hoping to shock the NBA world and beat the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday night.
But Donovan Mitchell had a different idea and led with a powerhouse performance that put the Lakers away.
The Lakers were already the odds-on loser for the match but their chances became even slimmer when Anthony Davis left the game with flu-like symptoms.

There were still moments of greatness despite the eventual loss for LA.
For example, LeBron James again looked like one of the most fierce and powerful players in the league when he created a strong dunk in the third quarter.
James is just about 38 years old but he is still in control of his body and capable of some explosive moments like this one.
We might not see James perform like this as regularly at this point in his career but it’s still a treat every time it happens.
James With The Jam
James was trying on Tuesday, with a final total of 21 points and an impressive 17 rebounds.
He was attempting to fill the void left by Anthony Davis, as was his teammate Thomas Bryant.
But it just wasn’t enough to stop the faster, bigger, younger, more powerful Cavaliers crew.
Because of the effects of aging, we don’t James perform like this as commonly.
But note how he still gets it done: the Cavaliers who were supposed to defend James pretty much just parted and let him do what he wanted.
That’s because that you can’t stop James when he gets going, even at his age.
Since entering the league, James has been one of the most versatile and fun players in the NBA and that hasn’t changed.
