The NBA Finals will get back underway on Monday, with the series shifting back to the Mile High City for Game 5, with the Denver Nuggets having a chance to win the franchise’s first title on their home floor of Ball Arena.
With the odds in favor of the Nuggets coming out on top on Monday and lifting the Larry O’Brien Trophy for the first time, the next question is who will win NBA Finals MVP, which isn’t much of a debate at this point.
According to Caesars Sportsbook via NBA on ESPN, Nikola Jokic is the clear favorite by a mile to win the NBA Finals MVP as of right now.

At this point in time, the only way Jokic doesn’t win the Finals MVP is if the Miami Heat can turn things around and go on to win this series in seven games.
Although Hall of Famer Jerry West won Finals MVP on the losing team when the Los Angeles Lakers fell to the Boston Celtics back in 1969, no other player from the losing side in the Finals has won the award, and that’s unlikely to happen.
All signs point to the Nuggets getting the win on Monday night and Jokic winning his first Bill Russell Trophy, but stranger things have happened, especially when it comes to this Heat team that has defied the odds throughout the NBA playoffs thus far.
Jokic is currently averaging 30.1 points, 13.3 rebounds and 9.8 assists during the playoffs while shooting 54% from the floor and 46.6% from beyond the arc.
