Once the NFL offseason got underway, the future looked bleak, to say the least, for the Baltimore Ravens, with the team and superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson not seeing eye-to-eye on a contract extension.
Despite being one of the best all-around quarterbacks in the game, the Ravens were willing to pay Jackson’s asking price, as he wanted his deal to be fully guaranteed.
Although the Ravens ultimately didn’t give Jackson exactly what he wanted, the two sides were eventually able to come to terms on a new deal, which will keep the one-time NFL MVP in Baltimore for at least the next five years.
With Jackson back in the fold, the Ravens have upgraded the offense by bringing in veteran superstar Odell Beckham Jr. and drafting rookie wide receiver Zay Flowers out of Boston College.
Along with a very talented receiving corps, the Ravens will have J.K. Dobbins coming out of the backfield to add to a stacked offense, which Jackson is ecstatic about via Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team.
#Ravens QB Lamar Jackson says the new offense with OC Todd Monken will allow them to throw the ball down the field way more.
"Running can only take you so far. … What I'm seeing in this offense so far, it's looking tremendous."

As long as Jackson, Dobbins, and Beckham can stay healthy, it’s possible that the Ravens could have the best offense in the NFL to start the 2023 season.
The passing game will be elite, and the ground game might be just as good with the two-headed monster of Jackson and Dobbins in the backfield.
It’ll be interesting to see how things come together in Baltimore and whether this talented offense can turn the Ravens back into a legitimate title contender during the 2023 campaign.
