Baltimore Ravens fans should be quite excited for the upcoming season.
Their new-look offense should be way more explosive now that Todd Monken is calling the shots, especially considering they’ve also added Zay Flowers and Odell Beckham Jr.
Notably, the chemistry between the latter and his quarterback, Lamar Jackson, is brewing already, as shown by the team in a clip of today’s joint practice with the Washington Commanders.

Of course, it’s still practice, and one could argue that the pass was under-thrown, but it’s a nice glimpse of the things we might see from the Ravens this season.
Jackson has spent most of his career in somewhat condensed offenses.
And while Greg Roman’s running game was always among the best in league history, it was also one-dimensional, predictable, and somewhat stagnant at points.
This will be the first time that Jackson actually has some legit studs in the passing game, as well as the freedom to make adjustments at the line of scrimmage, run no-huddle offenses, and prove that he’s more than just an elite scrambler.
The battle for the AFC North could be one for the ages, but the Ravens are expected to be among the strongest Super Bowl contenders from the very start of the season.
Then again, most of their success will depend on whether their stars can stay on the field, as both OBJ and Jackson have a long history of nagging pains, injuries, and ailments, and there’s no way they can win without their MVP on the field.
