The Los Angeles Lakers headed into this summer with high hopes of keeping their roster relatively intact while also bringing in players to address specific areas of need in order to get this team back to title-contending status in 2023-24.
Remarkably enough, the Lakers were able to do just that, as the storied franchise kept to its word and re-signed players who needed to return while also adding some role players that will be crucial to the team’s success next season.
So, along with re-signing Austin Reaves, D’Angelo Russell, and Rui Hachimura, the Lakers also added Gabe Vincent to the mix in order to help shoulder the load in the backcourt, especially with Dennis Schroder signing with the Toronto Raptors.
In fact, Vincent was one of the first players that struck a deal with the Lakers, and it appears he’s wasting no time in getting to work as he was seen getting up shots at the team’s practice facility in El Segundo via the team’s Twitter account.

Vincent was one of the many success stories on the Miami Heat’s roster last season, as the eighth-seeded squad led by Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo went from the Play-In Tournament to the NBA Finals.
As an undrafted guard, Vincent made the best of his opportunity with the Heat, carving out a role as a starter and becoming the talk of the NBA playoffs in the Eastern Conference.
Ultimately, Vincent’s play in the postseason caught the eye of the Lakers brass that was willing to offer him a three-year deal worth $33 million.
