It’s been a rough year – and a very rough few months – for fans of the Los Angeles Lakers.
The LA faithful were optimistic when the season began, thinking they actually had a chance of returning to the NBA Finals.
But now the team is struggling to even make it into the NBA Play-In Tournament.
People are blaming everything under the sun for the team’s misfortunes: injuries, bad coaching, a tough schedule.
But one thing that everyone can agree on is that the Lakers’ players are lacking.

On Tuesday night, as the Lakers were once again losing, one fan held a sign that said: “Praying for our Lakers.”
The sentiment is one that many are feeling.
From High Hopes To Low Chances
Followers of the Lakers were thinking they were going to the Finals this year.
You can’t blame them for thinking that: they had talent including LeBron James, Russell Westbrook, Carmelo Anthony, Anthony Davis, and more.
But again and again this talented roster has shown that they are prone to cracking under pressure.
Yes, James has been fantastic this year but he’s not enough to keep the team afloat.
Through bad defense, sloppy shot selection, and an overall inconsistency, this talented group of players just isn’t cutting it.
Again and again, fans were hoping the Lakers were about to turn a corner and get on the correct path.
Yet that’s never happened and the team has always taken a few steps back after one step forward.
They aren’t playing with enthusiasm or spirit – and they certainly aren’t performing like a team that could appear in the Finals.
You can blame everyone from the refs to Frank Vogel to the front office but at the end of the day, the players have consistently come up short.
