A lot hasn’t gone right for the Los Angeles Lakers over the last few years but there have been some bright spots within the roster too.
While certain stars like LeBron James and Anthony Davis have been shining brilliantly, despite injuries and absences, others have also been rising through the ranks and proving their worth.
One of those players has been Austin Reaves, a breakout phenom who has become a fan favorite in Los Angeles and one of the most exciting young players in the Western Conference.

Reaves has shown tremendous growth since joining the league last season.
During his first year, Reaves was posting 7.3 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.8 assists a game on a 46/32/85% stat line.
This year, he’s now putting up 10.5 points, 3 rebounds, and 2.2 assists with 49/37/87%.
In his first season, Reaves started in 19 games total.
He has become part of the starting lineup for 12 so far this season, which puts him on track to do even more for his struggling team.
The Lakers need all the help and good news they can get – Reaves brings both of those things.
He is a skilled young man who is making a name for himself as a role player willing to do whatever it takes.
Reaves has been clutch, reliable, and driven, bringing much-needed youthful energy to the lineup.
He works well alongside James, Davis, and pretty much any other player in LA, and that makes him even more important.
No matter what head coach Darvin Ham wants of him, Reaves is willing to deliver.
Now fans are eager to see just how much more he can grow.
