The consensus around the NBA right now is the Los Angeles Lakers have won the offseason, with the storied franchise keeping three of their key role players and adding four players in NBA free agency, which will make them a deep squad next season.
One of the last additions to the team in free agency was the signing of forward Cam Reddish, who had been linked to the team for years but never could land in Los Angeles.
Although Reddish is undoubtedly a talented player and should make the Lakers a better basketball team, the 23-year-old is already an NBA journeyman, as he’ll be playing for his fourth team in the league since being drafted out of Duke in 2019.
A player that young playing for that many teams this early in his career is a bit of a red flag, but the Lakers seem content with their newcomer and have started the hype train, via the team’s Twitter account.

Despite the multiple teams and not living up to expectations at this point in his career, Reddish has an opportunity to start fresh in Los Angeles, which is the first place he actually was able to pick rather than get traded to.
Sometimes a change of scenery is all a player needs to find his groove in the NBA, and that might be the case with Reddish, as this team he was able to pick was right for him.
It’ll be interesting to see how head coach Darvin Ham uses Reddish next season and how he’ll be seen on the floor, considering how deep the Lakers will be during the 2023-24 campaign.
