Kyrie Irving’s talents as an NBA player have never been put in doubt.
He’s one of the most talented players in the history of this game, and that’s something that every one of his colleagues, fans, media members, and even critics can all agree on.
As a matter of fact, almost every time people talk about Irving, even when they criticize him, they never fail to bring up just how incredibly gifted he is.
Nonetheless, just like some other modern-day NBA players, Irving hasn’t been exactly receptive to criticism, and he’s gone back and forth against the NBA media multiple times, even infamously getting into a feud with Stephen A. Smith.
Now, the Dallas Mavericks star took to Snapchat to send yet another message to his critics, stating that he doesn’t care about all the outside noise and criticism because he knows who he is (via NBA Retweet).

Ironically, that doesn’t sound like a player who doesn’t care about what other people say, mostly because no one was talking about him in the first place.
Irving has been tangled up in countless off-court controversies, and some of his words and actions have undeniably tarnished his legacy.
Even so, he’s the kind of box-office player who will always have a place on a roster because of his talent.
The Mavericks expect him to be more mature and help their postseason aspirations for years to come, and that will mostly depend on whether he’s able and willing to focus on basketball and basketball alone.
