One thing many Arizona Cardinals fans see with Kyler Murray is his immaturity.
However, the starting quarterback doesn’t see things in that same light.
He doesn’t feel he should be held accountable for mistakes he makes or his sometimes childish behavior.
These expectations of his behavior not needing accountability are unfair to himself and his teammates in Arizona.
A perfect example comes from his contract dispute with the team in February.
Murray’s Statement About Social Media Scrub Show Lack Of Accepting Responsibility
During a charity event in March, reporters questioned Murray about his scrubbing of Cardinals photos from his social media accounts.
The answer from him showed he wouldn’t take accountability in the matter.

He tried explaining away the scrubbing as “just a thing.”
However, it appeared more like a child throwing a fit over not getting a new contract.
But Murray said he was a Cardinal, despite what he did.
While some fans want him to stay a Cardinal, his childish actions need correcting.
Allowing him to continue on without accepting responsibility only fuels his unacceptable behavior.
The low expectations of Murray on himself and his actions aren’t fair to the Cardinals or their players.
However, something, or someone, could turn that around in 2022.
Can “Hollywood” Brown Help Bring Some Maturity To Murray?
A blockbuster trade between the Cardinals and the Baltimore Ravens sent Marquise Brown to Arizona.
The young receiver kept the trade deal under wraps when his former Oklahoma Sooners teammate questioned him about it.
WR Marquise Brown, acquired by the Cardinals in a trade with the Ravens on Thursday night, said he knew a trade to Arizona was in the works for about a week. Said he kept it a secret from buddy Kyler Murray. Wanted it to be a surprise.

Now the surprise is a reality for the Cardinals and their starting quarterback.
However, one thing they can hope happens with the trade is Brown talking some sense into Murray.
The two worked together well as teammates in Oklahoma.
Murray even tried to get Arizona to draft his friend and teammate during the 2019 NFL Draft.
While that didn’t happen, the team corrected that with the trade deal they made.
However, the team might rely on Brown’s humbleness to help their quarterback.
Maybe he can teach Murray the ways of humbleness and responsibility.
If he can, the young quarterback could grow from those things.
He Needs To Stop Using His Age As A Crutch
The main issue with Murray’s immaturity is him believing it’s ok because of his age.
At 24 years old, he is young.
However, he’s also an adult.
With adulthood comes responsibility.
But he has yet to accept this in Arizona.
His actions show a person wanting to act his age.
Success in the NFL doesn’t come from people following this pattern.
However, it’s the hallmark of players who’ve failed as NFL players.
If the young quarterback wants continued, and improving, success in Arizona, he needs to become an adult.
This means taking the blame for mistakes and not using your age as a reason you did those things.
That change won’t come overnight for him.
However, with a friend at his side, he could progress with a change faster.
That would be the ultimate successful ending for Murray and Arizona in this story.
