With the World Baseball Classic coming back in the spring of 2023 after a six-year hiatus, Team USA just added another solid ballplayer to their squad as they look to defend their WBC championship.
Houston Astros outfielder and slugger Kyle Tucker is the latest player to join the already star-studded Team USA roster.
The 25-year-old is hitting .261 with 22 home runs and 82 RBI in 2022.
Tucker joins Bryce Harper, Mookie Betts, Cedric Mullins, Tim Anderson, J.T. Realmuto, Nolan Arenado, Pete Alonso, Mike Trout, Trevor Story, and Paul Goldschmidt.
MLB tweeted the news with the hashtag “All In,” as they’ve been doing when a player joins the Team USA squad.

Tucker Joins Team USA
Team USA has some talented players on its roster.
They won the Classic back in 2017 under manager Jim Leyland.
Led by Mark DeRosa, the 2023 squad is going to have a really good chance at repeating their dominance from six years prior.
This is going to be a fun team to watch next spring.
Tucker is just the latest addition to an already stacked roster.
The lineups are going to be stacked with sluggers and the bench will have plenty of solid depth too.
The Classic will run from March 8-21, with 20 teams competing for the trophy.
Team USA is going to be a serious threat to repeat.
Each roster will be loaded with talented baseball stars from all across the globe.
We’re in for a fun ride if it’s anything like the 2017 Classic was.
Each time the Classic takes place, we get a chance to see what great players each country has to offer.
Team USA certainly has a lot to offer, especially with their latest addition.
It’s going to be exciting.
