Houston Astros outfielder Kyle Tucker is one of MLB’s most underrated players, and there is little doubt about it.
When discussing the Astros, everybody talks about Jose Altuve, Yordan Alvarez, or Alex Bregman.
However, they fail to recognize Tucker as part of that elite group and quite possibly the Astros’ best player.
The dynamic outfielder recently joined a historic list of MLB stars with his excellent play.
Sports Director at Fox 26 Mark Berman tweeted that “Kyle Tucker in the middle of some amazing company in this graphic from @ATTSportsNetSW.”

The graphic shows a list of just seven players in MLB history with at least 60 home runs and 40 stolen bases in their first 350 career games.
An Incredibly Talented List
The names that Tucker is joining are the following: Bo Jackson, Alex Rodriguez, Nomar Garciaparra, Alfonso Soriano, Mike Trout, and Shohei Ohtani.
That’s a pretty talented list of players, most of which are or were Hall of Fame candidates at one point in their lives.
Tucker has accumulated 60 round-trippers and 43 thefts during that time.
He is a solid fielder who can also hit, with a .828 OPS this year and a career mark of .849.
However, the power and the speed are what make him a special player.
Last season, he homered 30 times and stole 14 bases.
This year, he is already up to 17 homers, and already has 15 thefts.
In other words, he is one of MLB’s premier power-speed combos, and he is not afraid to try his luck on the basepaths.
Stealing bases is a declining art, but Tucker disagrees.
He has been a top player in the American League this season and is still very young.
He should still have more than a few peak seasons left.
