The San Francisco 49ers have made several quarterback moves throughout the offseason.
Jimmy Garoppolo was the first domino to fall, as he signed a deal with the Las Vegas Raiders.
Sam Darnold was then brought in, hoping to compete for the QB1 role while Brock Purdy recovered from injury.
Shortly after Darnold was named Purdy’s backup, Trey Lance was traded to the Dallas Cowboys.
Many fans and players were confused by the situation, including Garoppolo.
In a recent press conference, Garoppolo talked about his old team, saying there have “been a lot of weird situations over there in San Francisco.”
Kyle Shanahan quickly responded to these comments, saying, “I’m not really concerned about the comments,” per Pro Football Talk.

Shanahan appears unbothered by what Garoppolo said and is ready to move on with his sights set on 2023.
The 49ers made it to the NFC Championship game in 2022 but fell to the Philadelphia Eagles.
Many pundits believe their roster has what it takes to make it back to this title game despite the quarterback situation.
Outside of the 49ers’ building, many people believe Purdy is not the long-term answer for this team, and that his ceiling is severely capped.
He was the last pick in the 2022 draft, after all.
However, the 49ers have given nothing but high praise to Purdy throughout the offseason, asserting that he gives them the best chance to win games.
Garoppolo’s comments might have initially stung, but the team has moved past them.
He is on a new team, and they are no longer in need of his services at the quarterback position.
