The San Francisco 49ers have kept themselves atop the NFC, thanks largely in part to their coaching.
While their roster has undergone major changes over the past several seasons, there is one constant within the organization that seems to make the biggest impact.
That constant is head coach Kyle Shanahan.

In the past four seasons alone, the 49ers have put together three seasons of 10 or more wins.
As a result, they have appeared in the NFC Championship in all three of those seasons, making it to the Super Bowl in 2019.
Shanahan is one of the NFL’s brightest young minds.
He has been able to curate a winning environment, despite not always having the best roster in the league.
Because of his coaching style, his assistants have been highly recruited, and already, four of his former assistant coaches have secured head coaching roles.
DeMeco Ryans was the latest, as the Houston Texans just locked him in as their new head coach.
Ryans was the 49ers’ defensive coordinator this season and was a big reason that they were the league’s best.
Sure, the 49ers have one of the most talented defenses, but it was up to Ryans to ensure that the team could find harmony, and continue their domination.
Shanahan has also produced head coaches like Matt LaFleur, Mike McDaniel, and Robert Saleh.
Although Saleh and the New York Jets haven’t found as much success as they would have liked up to this point, their time will come.
As for LaFleur and McDaniel, they have demonstrated that Shanahan’s wisdom works, considering the instant success they have found in the league.
