The NBA is full of talented players from all around the globe.
However, not every player in the league has what it takes to help their organization win an NBA Championship.
Kyle Lowry may not be one of the flashiest players in the league, but he is certainly someone who knows how to win a ring as he was second in command to Kawhi Leonard during the Toronto Raptors’ 2019 NBA Championship run.
Following his stint with the Raptors, Lowry played a couple of seasons for the Miami Heat.
But considering Lowry was no longer in his prime, the Heat decided to trade him to the Charlotte Hornets earlier this season to acquire Terry Rozier.
Lowry agreed to a buyout with the Charlotte Hornets as the organization is nowhere near to clinching a berth in the 2024 playoffs.
Now, the veteran guard has announced that he is joining the Philadelphia 76ers for the rest of the season with the help of an emotional announcement, as revealed via Priority Sports on Twitter.

Prior to being a free agent, Lowry had averaged 8.2 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game for the Miami Heat.
Despite his numbers not jumping out of the box score, the 76ers have shown trust in the veteran guard for the rest of the season.
Considering Lowry is already 37 years old and the nature of the video he sent, there is a very real possibility that Lowry will announce his retirement from the NBA after this season.
The 76ers are currently the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 31-21 record.
