The 2022-2023 NBA Season was great for the Los Angeles Lakers, especially for Austin Reaves.
Despite preseason doubters, the Lakers made it to the Western Conference Finals, losing to the eventual champions.
Reaves was able to showcase his talents, proving he belonged as a cornerstone piece of the team.
While Reaves established himself as a key part of the Lakers, he has also made an impact on Team USA.
Kyle Kuzma has recently posted about Reaves’ abilities, saying he is “such a good basketball player.”

Reaves is slated to make a large impact for Team USA, who looks to get back to the top of the FIBA ranks.
This year’s roster features several other up-and-coming stars, including Anthony Edwards, Jalen Brunson, and Paolo Banchero.
While there are plenty of other stars that Kuzma could highlight, he pointed out Reaves for a reason.
Last year, Reaves averaged 13 points per game, the fifth-highest mark for the Lakers.
His field goal percentage was 52.0%, notably, ahead of LeBron James.
If he’s able to provide a similar effort in the upcoming FIBA tournament, the team will greatly benefit.
The team started to trust him more and more as the season went on, resulting in more minutes in essential games.
The Lakers’ championship window is closing, especially given that James likely has just a few years left in the league.
