Kyle Kuzma of the Washington Wizards actually just had one of the better seasons of his career.
The forward averaged 17.1 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists during his first year in DC, which was a step up from the last two seasons he had with the Los Angeles Lakers.
Still, the Wizards continued to struggle (they missed the playoffs) and people were lukewarm on Kuzma’s output, despite the decent numbers.

It’s clear that Kuzma wants to step things up and take his game to the next level.
A few years ago, he was considered one of the most exciting forwards in the league but now he isn’t discussed nearly as much.
Based on what we saw of Kuzma in the Japanese preseason game against the Golden State Warriors, he might be lining up a very special upcoming season.
After receiving the ball, Kuzma looked like he was going to put up a three-pointer.
Instead, he wove his way into the defense and landed a pretty impressive dunk.
We don’t see Kuzma perform like this often and the thought of him doing it more is quite exciting.
Kuzma’s Career
For the first few seasons in LA, people thought that Kuzma could be a future superstar, someone who could possibly lead a team and was sure to be featured in multiple All-Star games.
But his biggest problem has been his inconsistency.
When he has a hot hand, he’s a blast to watch but you can never tell when he is going to be hot or cold.
The limelight on Kuzma has dimmed considerably now that he’s in Washington.
If he hopes to grab the attention of fans again, he will need to perform more explosive plays like this.
