The Washington Wizards and Minnesota Timberwolves duked it out on Monday night, battling hard for the entire game until the Wizards were able to pull out a 142-127 victory.
It was quite a game and intense from beginning to end.
There were multiple athletes who burst onto the court and played remarkably well.
But only one star had a career night.

Kristaps Porzingis of the Wizards scored 41 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, and 3 blocks in the game.
He was 12-of-18 from the field and 6-of-10 from the three-point line and also sank all 11 of his free throw attempts.
His 41 points were a career-high and cause for serious celebration for Porzingis, who is having one of the best seasons of his career.
Porzingis Proving It
When he was traded to the Wizards last season, some fans of the team weren’t sure they wanted Porzingis.
The Latvian big man has been known for some clutch plays and “unicorn” skills but he’s also been called out for numerous injuries and lackluster energy on the court.
But he’s come to life in DC.
This season, he is averaging 21.4 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 2.6 assists.
Compare that to his career average of 19 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 1.6 assists and you can see why Wizards fans have come around.
Porzingis has improved his game in just about every way and is playing with a lot more drive, fire, and passion.
Plus, he’s only missed one game so far this year, showing that injuries aren’t plaguing him as they have in the past.
Partly because of Porzingis, the Wiz are currently the 7th team in the East.
Obviously, that’s far from the top but it’s still better than many people expected from this team.
