One of the biggest traditions in Los Angeles for a professional athlete who is new to the town or was recently drafted by one of the local sports teams is to throw out the first pitch at Dodger Stadium.
It’s an honor that only a few get and many cherish, as Dodger Stadium is one of the most prestigious stadiums in all of professional sports and about as unique as they come.
Although not a professional athlete, Natalia Bryant, daughter of Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant, has been invited to throw out the first pitch at Dodger Stadium on September 1 when the Los Angeles Dodgers host the Atlanta Braves, according to Legion Hoops and KTLA.

The Bryant family recently made a lot of headlines for the Lakers by announcing that a Kobe Bryant statue would be unveiled on February 2, 2024, where the five-time NBA champion will be immortalized in bronze in front of the arena where he entertained so many Lakers fans during his 20 years with the team.
Along with the statue announcement, which made many fans ecstatic, Vanessa Bryant, Kobe’s widow, has once again started up the family’s signature shoe brand with Nike, which was a hot topic of discussion for quite some time due to a strained relationship between the two sides.
As for Natalia, the 20-year-old is a professional model and a college student currently attending the University of Southern California.
She will hope to follow in her father’s footsteps with a solid pitch from the mound at Dodger Stadium.
