The New York Knicks have had a rough week.
Their moves during the NBA Draft were questionable at best and it left many fans with a bad taste in their mouths.
But the Knicks promise they’ve got some plans in place and some big things brewing.
One of those things may be Jalen Brunson of the Dallas Mavericks.
It’s been known for months now that the Knicks are angling to land Brunson during free agency.
They’ve been putting money aside and making behind-the-scenes moves to attract the guard.
But no matter how it plays out, some people won’t be happy.

If Brunson does sign with the Knicks, some people will scoff and say they spent too much money on a player who won’t live up to the hype.
And if they miss out on Brunson, people will say the Knicks screwed things up again.
Win or lose, the Knicks always lose according to some.
Bringing In Brunson
You can’t blame the Knicks for trying to land Brunson: he has really come to life lately and was a huge part of the Mavericks’ surprisingly strong playoff push.
During the 2021-22 season, he put up 16.3 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 4.8 assists.
And during the playoffs, he stepped that up to 21.6 points.
But is Brunson really ready to shine in the spotlight the Knicks hope to put him under?
They sure think so and they’ve done much to prepare the team for him.
In fact, they even hired his dad, Rick Brunson, as an assistant coach.
In other words, they are seemingly all-in on Brunson and think he can be the difference-maker to finally get the team back on track into the playoffs.
