Dallas Mavericks fans have been wondering which version of Klay Thompson they’ll get.
Will they receive the Thompson who can shoot deep three-pointers and outplay and outsmart the offense of opponents?
Or will they get the Thompson who can’t be counted on from beyond the arc?
A new video shared by Tristan Jass on X features Thompson in the practice gym, putting up shot after shot.
Obviously, there is a big difference between sinking threes in the gym and during an official game, but this video should have Mavericks fans excited.

Thompson has earned his spot in NBA history as one of the best catch-and-shoot three-point stars ever.
This video has multiple examples of that, as Thompson receives the ball and immediately fires it off to the basket.
This is exactly the sort of output that Thompson wants to bring to Dallas.
He had a lot of problems from the three-point line last season and only shot 38.7% from that region of the court.
That’s far below some of the highs he hit just a few years ago.
But Thompson has said the best isn’t behind him and he wholly believes he can improve his shot and become an impactful player again.
That will take a level of confidence that he seemed to lack during his final year with the Golden State Warriors.
But it’ll also require a lot of practice and Thompson obviously doesn’t have a problem with that.
It’s too soon to tell but this video suggests Thompson may have found his shot again.
