The Golden State Warriors have struggled to play well for the majority of the season, but the franchise finally got back to it’s winning ways after the All-Star break.
It has been Stephen Curry who has spearheaded the Warriors’ comeback this season.
However, the Warriors were given bad news during their recent matchup against the Chicago Bulls.
Curry suffered an ankle injury during the fourth quarter of the game as he exited the game with a limp and didn’t return.
Keeping that in mind, many are genuinely concerned for how long the 2x NBA MVP will remain sidelined and his longtime teammate Klay Thompson recently revealed the team’s mentality following the incident via Warriors on NBCS on Twitter.
“We’ve been in this position before … we just have to do it collectively,” Thompson said.

Klay Thompson has been with the Warriors throughout his NBA career and has shared some great moments with Curry by his side.
However, Thompson has also suffered his fair share of injuries and has seen Curry go through the same after the departure of Kevin Durant in 2019.
Keeping that in mind, Thompson wants the team to deal with this incident collectively rather than losing their focus at this point in the season.
Prior to getting injured, Curry was averaging 26.9 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 4.9 assists per game for the Warriors.
The Warriors are currently the 9th seed in the Western Conference with a 33-29 record, but can they sustain this position in Curry’s absence?
