The whole NBA world is eagerly awaiting the first regular-season game featuring Cooper Flagg.
The Dallas Mavericks rookie was red-hot in college, an obvious No. 1 draft pick, and has been great during Summer League.
People think he is about to start a long and perhaps historic career in the league.
Klay Thompson has been playing alongside Flagg during training camp, and he is blown away by what he’s seen.
“The thing I’m most impressed by with Cooper… he did not sit out 1 drill. He is in incredible shape. He’s got great stamina. When he is in his mid-20s and he fills out his physique, it’s going to be scary how great he can be. I’m just excited for his future, but he can also help us so much right now,” Thompson said of Flagg.

In other words, Flagg promises to be the real deal.
He is obviously driven and wants to compete at a high level, plus he is in great physical shape, too.
His body and mind are in the right place, which will be important as he adjusts to playing against the biggest names in the NBA.
Thompson noted that Flagg will be “scary” when he reaches his mid-20s, but Mavericks fans don’t want to wait that long.
They want to see Flagg get off to an explosive start this season because they believe he can be the future of the franchise.
One of the most promising things about the rookie is that he looks like someone who can make an impact right away.
Yes, he will get better over the years, but Flagg might immediately be one of the league’s brightest stars.
Thompson has played with and against NBA legends, so his praise of Flagg counts for a lot.
