Although the Golden State Warriors have managed to capture four NBA championships in the past decade, they had to go through several tough teams in order to do so.
After capturing the first of those titles in 2015, the Warriors were poised to repeat as champions in 2016 though they ran into an Oklahoma City Thunder team that was at the peak of their powers.
Led by Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook, the Thunder were a multi-faceted team that was able to go toe-to-toe with the Warriors.
The two squads met in the Western Conference Finals and Oklahoma City came within one game of knocking off Golden State after taking a 3-1 series lead.
The Warriors managed to stave off elimination by winning Game 5, but looked like they were on the brink of bowing out in Game 6.
However, Klay Thompson was able to catch fire and save Golden State’s season and he explained how a speech from Draymond Green kickstarted his amazing night via Naveen Ganglani of Rappler.

Thompson reveals that Green said no one believed the Warriors would win 73 regular season games or come back from a 3-1 deficit.
The sharpshooter then goes on to say that it gave him the confidence to leave it all out on the floor and he did as he went 14-of-31 from the field, including 11-of-14 from the 3-point line en route to 41 points.
It was one of the best shooting displays in NBA playoff history and a game that Thompson and Warriors fans will always remember.
