Klay Thompson is a first-ballot Hall of Famer, and no NBA fan could even make an argument to state otherwise.
Thompson is one of the greatest shooters this game has ever seen, and he was a pivotal part of the latest dynasty.
He helped the Golden State Warriors win four championships in six trips to the NBA Finals, owns several records, played elite defense in his prime, and was 50% of one of the deadliest backcourt duos this game has ever seen.
That’s why, even if he’s no longer at his best, he’ll always have bragging rights over pretty much every single opponent or fan base he ever faced.
With that in mind, he decided to take the high road against a fan who made fun of him for going 0/10 in an elimination game (via Courtside Buzz).
“I’m rooting for you. Eat your greens and get proper sleep nightly and you will make the NBA one day thru hard work and perseverance,” Thompson said.
Klay Thompson reacted with kindness to someone in Instagram comments who made fun of his 0/10 FGM in an elimination game:
“@zlongrant hey young fella, I’m rooting for you . Eat your greens and get proper sleep nightly and you will make the NBA one day thru hard work and… pic.twitter.com/Ew2nu5dA9Y

That’s Klay Thompson 101 right there.
He’s a humble and down-to-Earth kind of guy, but he’s also incredibly competitive, and he’s not going to tolerate any slander or disrespect, nor should he.
Thompson overcame back-to-back major injuries to come back and contribute to another NBA championship.
He’s earned his flowers and his stripes throughout the course of the years, and the fans shouldn’t have such a short memory when it comes to his career.
Now, he’ll face free agency for the first time ever, and he should have several big-money offers sitting on his table, even if he’s no longer in his prime.
Hopefully, for the fans and his legacy, the Warriors will also prioritize bringing him back.
