The Golden State Warriors were viewed as one of the best teams in the league before the start of the 2023-24 NBA season.
However, with more than half of the season already being played, the Warriors are playing like shells of themselves this year.
The Warriors continued their struggles during their most recent game against the Los Angeles Lakers.
Thanks to the brilliant performance of Stephen Curry, the game went until double-overtime, but the Warriors still ended up suffering a 144-145 defeat at the hands of the Lakers.
Following the disappointing loss, Warriors veteran Klay Thompson shared his views on the team’s tough season via Warriors on NBCS.
“Lot of games have stung this year. We’ve had a lot of heartbreaking losses,” Thompson said.

Klay Thompson didn’t mince his words about the Warriors’ underwhelming season and claimed several losses have stung the team this season.
At the end of the day, Thompson may feel sad about suffering another loss, but he was one of the contributors to the team’s Saturday night defeat against the Lakers.
Thompson did have 24 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists in 47 minutes of playing time, but he continued to struggle from the floor.
The 5x NBA All-Star shot 9-24 from the field, including a 6-17 performance from the three-point line.
Keeping Thompson’s poor shooting night in mind, it’s no surprise that the Lakers were able to register a one-point win over the 2022 NBA champions.
The Warriors have slipped to a 19-24 record this season as they continue to stay as the 12th seed in the Western Conference.
With each defeat, the Warriors’ hopes of making a comeback this season are getting less likely.
