The Minnesota Vikings may have had to adjust on the fly when Kirk Cousins was lost for the remainder of the 2023 NFL season due to a torn Achilles, but the team remains in position to make the postseason.
Head coach Kevin O’Connell has cycled through several quarterbacks since Cousins’ injury occurred, and the Vikings even had to endure an extended absence from Justin Jefferson who was placed on injured reserve with a hamstring injury.
Minnesota has a crucial game against the Detroit Lions in Week 16 as the two NFC North rivals continue to duke it out for postseason seeding.
Jefferson figures to be a big part of the game plan, though the Lions understand that and will do everything they can to blanket the star wide receiver.
Cousins is no stranger to the importance of the matchup and was on hand at the stadium to support his teammates.
The quarterback made sure to get Jefferson hyped up before the game as he was seen holding a boombox via the team’s official Twitter account.

Cousins has always had a unique sense of humor and in this case, it looks like he had fun getting Jefferson and the rest of the roster amped up for a pivotal game.
Jefferson can be seen bobbing his head and probably enjoyed seeing Cousins getting in on the action on game day.
Divisional matchups always mean more to the teams and the players, and it’ll be exciting for Minnesota fans to see whether or not Jefferson and company can deliver a win.
