It is February, which means we are now halfway through this NBA season and a lot has changed.
One thing that hasn’t changed, however, is the steadfast skill of the Sacramento Kings.
A few years ago, the idea of the Kings doing well in the West was sadly laughable but they are now the third-best team in their conference and well on their way to their first playoff appearance in years.
The Kings are now one of the most exciting, energetic, and promising teams in the entire league.

One of the biggest reasons for this is the hard work and powerful output from De’Aaron Fox.
Fox has been explosive all year long with an average of 24.6 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 6.2 assists.
Those are wildly impressive numbers but even more remarkable is another fact about Fox: he leads the league with the most number of clutch points.
Fox has scored 148 clutch points during 2022-23, which is far ahead of second-place finisher Jalen Brunson of the New York Knicks.
To clarify, a clutch point is one made within the last five minutes of a game when the match has a margin of just five points or less.
In other words, Fox is there when his team needs him most and is often putting up the pivotal points that win a game.
Again and again this year, the Kings have won some very close games like when they took down the Orlando Magic, 126-123, in overtime, or when they defeated the Houston Rockets, 130-128, or the Utah Jazz, 126-125.
These victories show that clutch points are very important for the Kings and no one creates them like Fox.
He is having one of the best seasons of his career and he’s helping his team thrive.
