It’s been less than 24 hours since DeMar DeRozan signed with the Sacramento Kings and the fans have already gone into a frenzy.
The star shooting guard was introduced to the crowd in attendance at Golden 1 Center, but those at home also got pretty excited upon hearing the news.
As a matter of fact, a fan was so excited that he literally got his name tattooed.
Apparently, a fan had promised to get a tattoo of DeRozan’s name if he chose the Kings in free agency, and he delivered (via Cameron Salerno).

Needless to say, the least DeRozan can do for this fan is to send him a pair of signed sneakers and maybe hook him up with some nice seats.
Truth be told, not many fans would’ve done that, particularly for the 2024 version of DeRozan.
The former Toronto Raptors star isn’t getting any younger, but he’s still coming off a very productive tenure in the Windy City.
The Kings were very aggressive in their pursuit of another star to pair with De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis, and it’s clear that they value the experienced shooting guard.
Offensive floor-spacing will be a major concern for this team, however.
They will have three non-shooters on the floor in the starting lineup, and while DeRozan is perhaps the best mid-range scorer in the game, his reluctance to pull up from beyond the arc could end up being a liability for Mike Brown’s team, especially down the stretch or in the playoffs.
